So, melde mich nun ab und düse gleich in die Hauptstadt. Berlin-Conference „Conflict Management in the AfPak-Region“ – auf Einladung der Willy Brandt School der Universität Erfurt. Werde am Wochenende über diese Veranstaltung hier berichten.

On December 3rd the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy hosts a conference on “Conflict Management in the AfPak region” in cooperation with the Progressive Center in Berlin. The conference will be the start-up event for the newly established Con-flict Studies and Management Program (CSMP) at the Brandt School. Experts from the academic world – including researchers from Afghanistan and Pakistan – as well as politicians and media representatives dealing with the security situation in the re-gion will participate. The conference wants to contribute to the public discussion of and the political decision-making process for the military mission in Afghanistan. It also provides a channel for exchange between science and practice. Presentations and discussions will be organized in three thematic panels which reflect the focal re-search areas of the conflict management program at the Brandt School: 1. Governance in Fragile States, 2. AfPak – Regional Security, 3. Conflict Management and Reconstruction Processes
